Ballet Pensacola dancer, Kristen Springer, who hails from Snellville, Georgia, talks about life as a dancer and her roles at BP. She started her dance training at the Northeast Atlanta Ballet in Georgia when she was four years old. She has had the opportunity to dance many lead roles, some of which include Clara, Dew Drop, Snow Queen, and Sugar Plum in the Nutcracker, Odette/Odile in Swan Lake. Artistic Director Richard Steinert has created roles for her in the critically acclaimed BP ballets, Flipside and Romeo and Juliet. She attended the School of American Ballet in New York City on scholarship and later was accepted into the year round training program at Houston Ballet as a junior in High School. She danced in Houston for two seasons before accepting a full time position with Ballet Pensacola. This is Kristen’s second year dancing with Ballet Pensacola.
