Dancing with the Stars

Held annually, this event pairs local luminaries with professional dance partners for an evening of dancing in support of Ballet Pensacola. This year, Dancing with the Stars was held at Pensacola Country Club Saturday, May 8. The event raised more than $70,000 to support Ballet Pensacola’s many programs, which include Arts-in-Education, Discover Dance and Dance Chance. Arts-in-Education is the organization’s presentation of a full ballet performance at the Saenger Theatre to all third-grade students in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Proceeds from the event also support Discover Dance, a program that brings Ballet Pensacola’s professional dancers to perform in local elementary schools, and Dance Chance, which provides scholarships to deserving young dancers.
